Hygiene Officer

We are looking for a hygiene officer. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. While this is our ideal list, we will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.


Manage, develop, implement, and administer plant safety and industrial hygiene programs within the operations manufacturing organization to meet Corporate and Site General Safety and Occupational Health PSGs (Policies, Standards, and guidelines)
Insure compliance with OSHA requirements and state and local regulatory requirements
Develop, implement, and administer plant safety and OH regulatory programs in accordance with corporate guidelines
Lead Site Process Safety Management related activities, audits and reviews, and implementation of related improvements
Manage incident investigations, reporting, record-keeping, and metrics according to corporate guidelines
Facilitate the creation and implementation of employee safety training programs
Serve as the plant resource regarding best work practices regarding safety
Supervise members of the Safety and OH teams
Manage the SHE organization budget
Oversight of the site CAR (Corrective Action Report )management system


Certified Safety Professional is also a plus
Practical, hands-on experience performing a broad range of industrial hygiene work
Proven track record of implementing engineering controls related to noise reduction, and ventilation systems, including providing cost-benefit analysis to Senior Management and Engineering
Good interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write at all organizational levels
All other environmental hygiene
The ideal candidate(s) will have a minimum of 10 years (senior-level) of relevant project management work
