Commercial Cooling Technician

To Test, and maintain various refrigerant working systems like cool rooms, chillers, freezers, and HVAC systems in order to ensure effective operation.


Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Test, operate, and maintain various refrigerant operating systems to ensure effective operation and loss prevention.

  • Plan, follow up and ensure that all the repairs have been done as required in day-to-day activity

  • Record, the consumption of refrigerant and energy and reduce the consumption wherever possible.

  • Plan, evaluate, and maintain spare and consumables for effective and efficient maintenance.

  • Snagging and De-snagging

  • Support HVAC technicians

  • Supporting other works as required. 

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety

Specific Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability

  • Observing and testing system operation

  • Monitoring and recording daily energy consumption.

  • Taking initiative and reducing energy consumption.

  • Dismantling malfunctioning systems and testing components

  • Repairing or replacing defective parts

  • Recovering and reclaiming refrigerant

  • Installing wiring to connect components to a power source

  • Brazing or soldering defective joints and leaks

  • Studying blueprints

  • Drilling holes and installing mounting structures

  • Scheduling work

  • Maintaining records or repairs and replacements made

  • Ordering materials and supplies

  • Attend guest compliance and ensure the highest level of satisfaction.

  • Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required.

  • Follow hazardous Material management program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals etc. using material safety data sheets.

  • Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment, materials, and machines.

  • Emergencies – To be available for any emergencies and act in a professional manner to protect our Guests, Staff and preserve the Hotel Property and its system. Follow the Hotel Emergency plan. 

Qualification, Experience, and Skills

  • Diploma in Heat ventilation and air condition or ITI

  • Same field as a commercial cooling technician. with minimum of 5 years of experience
